Hi! I'm Steph Kelly and I'm a documentary film editor and story producer. I specialize in crafting story structures for premium documentary series, often tracking multiple characters and incorporating archival, recreation, vérité and interview elements. Projects I've worked on have aired on HBO, Nat Geo, Hulu, Disney+, Fox Nation, and Peacock.
I love working on a team and collaborating with other editors, directors, and producers. I believe projects improve when varied perspectives come together, and I aim to foster an environment where ideas can flow freely when editing. I've worked on a variety of subject matters but most enjoy giving a voice to authentic characters who would otherwise not have such a platform. Finding the heart of who people are and accurately translating that to the audience is what, I find, makes documentaries so powerful. I am originally from New Jersey and have spent the last decade in New York City, currently residing in Brooklyn. I am an avid Mets fan, dog-lover, and arts-and-crafts enthusiast.
